Wow. yours look quite a bit different than mine when they were young. I wonder if it has anything to do with mine being on black substrate.

Man...your male looks great. Still pretty peaceful?

My little boy thinks he is bigger than he is but all bark and no bite, lol.

He used to go at it with my snook all the time. Lots of gill flare at each other and the snook had a lot of size on him but being female I guess he felt he was the boss.

When the snook was taken out of the equation he decided he could boss the pearsei around. She puts up with him and goes mouth to mouth with him but it really is nothing serious. Here are some size comparison pics. I know for sure the pearsei is at least 14" for sure.

It is really comical to see him dwarfed by her yet bold enough to hold his own. Overall a very peaceful fish with a 'little man' complex.

So just the pearsei and het ?

Geez our tanks are sooo similar lol infact we've always had the same tastes...even down to the bumblebee oscar

Just the two, for now.... lol

Been working on the garage and hope to get my other 65B set up as a grow out. I am still looking for a wc oscar or a good looking red oscar. The big tank needs one more large fish in it.

Brief update

Full tank shot to show the change up in decor I had done a while back on the left side.

I changed out to a different piece of Mopani wood that I had. It managed to confuse the polys enough that aggression went way down from the big endli.

Porkchop in all her fatness.

Nigerian lap... eats and has grown but very sleek and trim. A bit disappointed that its patterns are always so faded. I guess this is where the red garnet would come into play. Love the fact it has spots though.

The weeksii, Nessie happy as always

The unnamed Koliba. Always reminds me of the raptors from Jurassic Park. Something about the pointed snout on her.

Thats all for now.

Wow they grew so big, what are the size of the polys now?
Im famous for under estimated sizes so its hard to say. I look at them every day and think they are done growing but the I compare them to each other and realize there has been some size put on. In my underestimating I would say the largest is the endli at 18 1/2” + or - a bit, lol. The others I would say in the 16” range.

But l have always said Im bad at sizing fish. So the only true way is to catch them and measure, lol.

I felt the same about not being able to notice their growth. A few weeks ago dmcskoolkid dmcskoolkid was over and mentioned that they looked bigger, i was actually complaining that i havent noticed new growth.

Fish look great btw
