Glad I have one supporter for less polys... lol. Yep, you understand where Im coming from.I think that was my problem with keeping polys. I was pushing my bio load to the max threshold which decreased my marginal error significantly. When one canister starting having issue and not performing at optimal level my fish suffered.
I think for the long run keeping a light stock is good. I was running two Eheim pro 2028 and a Emp400 on my 150g. I eventually swapped the Emp400 out for a fx6 to allow me to push the tank closer to the wall.
I'll get more polys again when I move my non poly fish over to another tank. I am planning to go poly only tank to solve my feeding issue.
haha I got the wife factor too. However my kids love fish so she is more accepting of the hobby. I have decided to setup tanks in the garage. If I have the budget I can cut the drywalls to make the garage tanks viewable from the living room.I would love to do a poly only tank but with my recent downsize in home I am limited. I did get the 300g show tank in the living room and I have a 65B in the office for my puffer and that is it besides a 40B qt/hospital tank for emergency. Also have the wife factor to deal with. She does not care for the polys and a tank full would be too much.

Everyone looks awesome, and why the koliba is the only one without a name?
Nice progress on these. The Koliba is my favorite in the bunch. How come we never get a side shot of croc?
I like the ansorgii the most, put on good weight. Looks bigger than when you got it lol. The koliba has some crazy patterns towards its rear, and hulk has nice dark green. Croc looks good as always
