If the video resolution is on "Auto" by default, the player might be picking whatever resolution it can handle without hangups. I notice my YouTube "Auto" resolution goes down when my connection speed slows down. But once I select 1080 HD, it stays and the picture might freeze for a moment here and there, if my connection speed is not coping.
This is trivial. Sorry. I'm just not sure if this is the problem.
