Sorry to hear about the dovii hopefully you have the heart to buy another one and put him or her in your new tank.
If I can locate some juvi's maybe, hard to find a good personality in a Dovii. If there's anyone with Juvi's or a pair, I'm located just West of Toronto. Jake_Valiquette@yahoo.com

My LFS sells them for 14.99 at like 2 inches.
im deeply saddened to hear this . Being a dovi owner I know how attached we all get to our fish ! I had my female jag jump out of the tank one time and land in the baby swing.... she survived. I thought she would be a goner by the way she was acting but she survived the ride. Try contacting Spencer Jack. He can find you a new beast to love.
So sorry to hear about your Dovi. The exact same thing happened to me. But I don't think we really know how much force and power they can generate from their bodies. My Dovi was 16 inches and thick bodied when it happened. Man you just got to start over. Don't let it stop you.
I lost a tank full of fish do a power outage. Literally took me years to get back into the hobby I was just depressed I had an attachment to my guys.
Damn we both must have been cursed by the same person. I also lost a ton of fish due to a power outage that lasted several days. Matter of fact I am going to look because It think I still have pictures of what I lost.
