Are they WC and have they been treated for Chytrid?

Alot of WC frogs have it and can live with it.... When they get stressed which compromises their immune system anyways the Chytrid can kill them.

I would clean/ bleach the hell out of the tank before I added anything else.. What else was he housed with?

Housed alone in a Rubbermaid crate.

What was you supplementing schedule?

Dusted lightly with ReptoCal every feeding.

I don't know, he was a rescue from a bad Petland :(

And yeah, just ReptoCal. But I checked last week (I'm away now) and it definetaly was D3 or whatever was mentioned earlier, along with calcium.

That may be part of the problem. No vitamins. You were giving him calcium but no other vitamins.

try not to "rescue" from pet stores. It defeats the whole purpose.

Sorry to hear about the frog. If you decide to try again please let me know I have alittle bit of frog knowledge I would be happy to help you out.

For future reference, how would one treat for chytrid?
and what signs would a frog give that would indicate chytrid fungus

Alot of WC frogs have Chytrid.

Signs of Chytrid can be excessive shedding, excessive soaking in water bowels, dull color, sluggishness, etc.

The treatment is quite easy actually. It is Lamasil AT spray. 10 sprays of the Lamasil mixed with 200 ml ( might be 100 ml I will have to check again) frog safe water. The frog must be soaked daily for 10 days for about 10 minutes a day. New solution must be used daily. While treating the frog they must be put back into a clean container each time they are treated so they do not continue to re infect them selves.

HOpe this helps and makes sense
