Hey guys I just looked at a 4Ft aquarium... length 4ft, height 1.5ft, width little bit more than 1 ft. Need to make a quick decision :/

My Problems:

1. I dont have own transport, since mostly ALL aquarium sellers want "PICK UP ONLY".

2. I have 2 clown loaches, 2 rainbow sharks, 1 Bristlenose, 2 Jewel Chichlids and 1 Flowerhorn (all still babies) in a 3ft tank...I wanted a new home to split them up.

3. I live in an apartment so floor space for me is very limited

So i came across this guy whose willing to give me everything here for $280 AND DELIVERY!

What you guys think? I need to make a quick decision since others are lined up to buy it.

I say propose 250....

at the end of the day, 280 with delivery is not bad, imho

I say do it. It is a nice looking setup. Come with filters? Some might say it is too expensive, but that all depends on where you live, how many other aquariums are on CraigsList, etc. The bigger the city, generally the more choice. The more choices you have, usually the cheaper they are. So if you are somewhere small, that might be considered a good deal.

Delivery is nice though.

Yeah it does come with filter, all the ornaments and all.... well i im going to go have a look at it today! :D

I live in San Francisco, the bigger the city, the cheaper the prices...........4ft tank, I am guessing 55g, right?????????I would pay no more than $100 for that tank..........With the stand and cover/lights, possibly $150...........A stand can be easily made using cinder blocks..........Light structure is easily made by putting some DIY flourescents from HOME DEPOT for less than $40...........Overall, not being from Australia, I cannot clown on the price, but nice tank.............

It's not a bad price if it comes with filter, stand and hood too. I live in Los Angeles, probably one of the best places anywhere to find cheap large tanks. But for how good that one looks, almost looks new and compared to what you would spend for a new one and the delivery it's not a bad price at all. I agree, ask 250 but still take it for 280 if you have the money.

good luck

^^ Thanks guys i really needed this, I am going to keep 4 types of fish in that... an oscar, flowerhorn, jack dempsey and green terror.. all young.... but since these fish need alot of water circulating

Do you think I should get a Aqua one water pump (2000 Litres/Hour) ? and use two filters in the tank?

I wanna keep my fish in very good water condition.

You can't even begin to compare CA aquarium prices to that of Australia! And if it's going in a living room, not everybody wants a repulsive looking tank sitting on bricks with a shop light ;)

your paying twice as much as you should. the measurements would make it a 55 which you can go buy brand new at wal-mart for 100.
Again, pay attention to his location.
