Hey man, relax. We're all friends here, alright? I'm just tryin' to offer a hand. You seem to be really into your fish. Enthusiasm is good. I'm trying to be a good dude and look out for the best interests of you, AND the fish... and the Tadpoles. I have a soft spot for Tadpoles, as I keep herps myself, Frogs included.
If you're looking for a good diet for your Jag, then Tadpoles are not the way to go. Honestly, it wont be stuck on live feeders. Cichlids need a good varied diet. Personally, I'd recommend Hikari pellets (carnivore-type when small, massivore-type when large) plus frozen (or occasionally live) brine shrimp, mysis shrimp, bloodworms, as well as the occasional earthworm tail or cricket or piece of Tilapia fillet. Larger feeder animals, like Amphibians and fish, create a higher risk for parasites, as well as being a bit of a waste of a life. I'm not just full of hot air... that is the diet on which I am raising my favorite fish I own, my Pike Cichlid.
Good luck with your Jag. They're awesome fish. I hope he does well for ya, and I hope you dont take this as me taking a shot at ya.
