Hummm....I could see it being a sport. :grinno:

I think that its GRRRRREAT !!!!

I know that this is a choice of execution in many states. Other not commonly used (but still available) forms of execution are gas chamber, electric chair, and hanging:)

This would be an interesting topic to discuss with my Social Justice class teacher who is also head of the religion department at our school :grinno: jk, she'd beat me with a stick. But I guess I'm not pro-capital punishment, so I don't find this morally right, but I do agree that it would instill a sense of fear into other criminals and hopefully deter them from making mistakes.

BTW, if anyone's interested in this topic, there's a great movie "Dead Man Walking" that I watched in my social justice class that really made me contemplate my views on this subject.

kill him! no one deserves to have no father at any age, especially 3 years old! i feel sorry for the single mother to. i know we are meant to forgive but i dont know how i can forgive someone for doing something like that

I'd say this is more humane to the executioner. In lethal injection the Doctor (who are sworn to protect life) have to set up the injection. Then it's delivered by 4-6 buttons pressed simultaneously with only on actually delivering the injection. The one pressing the button don't know which one administered the injection. The doctor however has no doubt what so ever as to who set up the execution.

This way bailiffs who are sworn to protect us from predators and up hold the law are strapping this monster down to be executed. I think that the use of firing squad can be both simpler and more humane using close range head shots through a screen. The head shot will kill the person instantly, even though the heart may still beat. While a heart shot will take more time.

As far as the acceptability of execution. Well financially keeping them locked up is cheaper and if "without the possibility of parole" is made absolute then I'd say it's a much harsher punishment. You will eventually die in prison you have NO hope of ever seeing the outside world. As opposed to you dieing on a given day in a matter of minutes. I support the death penalty for those who present an unacceptable risk if they ever manage to get out. Since he killed two people in two separate escape attempts he qualifies. People like John Gagen, Charles Manson and Jeffery Dalmer all pose a much greater risk than this guy. Two were killed in prison one is actually getting (and failing) parole hearings.

I am in favor of this Eye for an eye. YOu kill you are going to be killed. If there were more executions made public, maybe it would stop people from committing crimes. Then in turn maybe lower our taxes( I know wishful thinking) because we would need less prisons. And I like how he says that he is a changed man. Give me a break. I can go commit a murder tomorrow, plead insanity, and be out in 15 years the US government. he hasn't changed one bit. He is just a scared little **** now
