UV Sterilizer Questions.

what i want to know is if the inlet/outlet matter whichever you connect it to... since coralife didnt put any im assuming it shouldnt matter but id like to clarify before i use the product

I answered this 3 times. if you pull up the pdf online from coralife, the diagram shows the inlet as the side away from the powercord, and the outlet on the powercord side. I'm not sure if it only flows one way. when in doubt plumb it that way.

a uv filter is always going to be better then no uv filter. PERIOD.

do you NEED one? no
is it better to have it? yes
is it beneficial? yes

if you can afford it. do it.

I agree that a uv is better than no uv but to me it all depends on the aquarist ability to maintain their tanks correctly. if a aquarist overstocks their tanks and overfeeds than of course the uv will help tremendously but if everything is done correctly and water params is in check then it's effect won't be as much.

honestly I yanked off my UV's on my tanks didn't need them as long as you keep up with your water changes and dont't overfeed to much and have the right amount of filtration.

hey jonnie did you place the outlet closer to the cord and the inlet farthest away?

It hangs on the tank and the cord is on the bottom the top has a light so you know its on.
i have it plugged to a 350 mag

not sure what size the hose is on the eheim but my 350 mag fit just right.
