Thank you for the comments and Ade for posting the pics, as requested here's a few full tank shots. Sorry not good, need a wide angle lens.
As for their ages, it really is anybody's guess. The ST with brighter gold colouring is known to be 6 years in the UK, approx 6 inch when it was imported. The other is believed to be a little younger but....
The big NTT I have had since it was only 3 inches and that was about 4 to 4 1/2 years ago. I had a group of four of these and lost three overnight when they were 10 inch, no known reason. This one goes from strength to strength though, possibly my favourite of all the Tigers.
The Africans were an attempt to diversify from Tigers, everyone said I should try something different. So I did try. They were wrong! Most of the Africans were sold on but I couldn't catch these few so they took their chances and have done fine, spawning regularly.
Interesting comment about the Dat. microlepis markings azian_kicker. When I first saw the 3 bar Indo's I loved them but now I'm not so sure. If you see a big Indo next to a big Widebar, the differences are clear and they both look stunning in their own right. The 3 bar Indo's just don't have that "class" being neither one nor the other.
Having said that, I have one that we've had since just an inch long, 3 bars with one of them split and rarely stable unless in a tank on its own. That one has it's own name and will never be sold!
Anyway, pictures as promised, enjoy.
