Chilax!! i just wanna be happy with my arowana, its still at the shop. If or if not cross just hope it will be a beauty. :headbang2
Now still 5-6" here are 2 best shots! :D

yah its a nice aro. But hard to say what would happen after its placed in a tank with black background. Could you request to have the aro placed in another tank? with blue./black background? If their willing to do that for you then just wait a couple of weeks and see what how much shine fades. And what your paying for that aro is just about the same here in Toronto right here RTG's are going for 400 to 500 CDN. But then again you still have it better cause live in singapore and you should have more better quality aro's to choose from. Good Luck!

From Experience my advice is to get the BEST aro (Xback or Goldhead) even though its alot of money if you divide it into the years that you will be enjoying the aro its cost really isn't a lot... almost like paying for cable TV. I had an RTG before and i wasn't satified but i still drove out to LFS to look at other Xback and gold head aro's that had much more amazing shine and colors. With spending so much time dropping by LFS you eventually get hungry and will buy food and drinks.... So when I added up gas, food and time I probably coulda just bought a nicer aro and just stayed home (save money/time) and be satisfied knowing that theres already a more than average quality aro in my living room. Time is money... so if your gonna spend so much time looking at your tank it might as well be the BEST Aro your looking at =D

Thats just my story... =) Good luck to you! and take more pics once everything's settled in.

I get what you are saying, go for the "best" is cheaper then going for the average. Getting the "best" you just pay once and done, rather then getting something not satisfying and buy and buy and buy... haha

Anyway, this will be my first better grade arowana. so i'm gonna try and see if i'd raise him well and fat! i had slivers before so yea. And Oh yes will upload pics once i get my arowana back home. that will like be a few more weeks from now! haha

The fish in the picture has been in a White tank for a long time it's ment to be a red tail GOLD the fish in the picture looks like a red tail WHITE as it has no gold tones to it at all

The shine on that fish will drop alot the back of the fish will turn dark and the rest of the scales will turn gold not the White they are now

Unless you spend $3000+ then don't expect to get a great aro you will get a ok xback or SR but it won't be a great
