V. Syn or Chocolate cichlid?

picked this fella up a few days ago.
Hes about 14'', paid $120.
asked how much for the Syn, and the lfs said he was a chocolate cichlid.
Im positive he is a V. Synspilum, but I'd like a 100% ID.

not a chocolate thats for sure. But to pay $120 for a fish that the store did not even know what it was would make me mad.

I thought $120 was a fair price for a Syn that size, had another lined up elswhere, best deal I could get was $300(didnt get that one).
Plus I bought him because I was sure of what he is

Yes its a Syn for sure, I saw one of the same size last month, they asked €25, which is 20 dollars i guess. So you paid waaay too much.
