are they in QLD though mate?, and is that Nic in your avatar yours? very nice fish anyway.

and yes all aussie prices are fairly high, and where Im at it can be hard to find cirtain Americans, Like Dovii, Umbee and Trimacs.

Any Aussie members chime in with a place I could find the harder to get American?

I thought $120 was a fair price for a Syn that size, had another lined up elswhere, best deal I could get was $300(didnt get that one).
Plus I bought him because I was sure of what he is

I think its a cultural divide mate, Australia's importing laws are tightening right now hence why the price of Syn's here are ridiculous to people from the states. Either way he looks like a monster!!!!

Good price for Australia. I see people talking hundreds of dollars for fish I get for $20 here. Are the captive-bred fish there any cheaper? I mean, guppies are getting up into the $4-$5 range around here in Wa and that's weird, since I remember fancy gups costing $1 a few years ago.

Nice pickup. Like the head on (her?).

nice, remind me of my old syns, but what happened to his fins?
heres an old pic

Nice fish mate. This fellas fins are on the mend, Pet barn had him in a small tank with about 40 aggro little africans.

thats actually three different ones,#1 is a male,#2 is the male from my sarstun pair,#3 is the female of my sarstun pair. as you ca see they are my favorite fish.

Yeah, the price for fish in Oz is ridiculous, I paid a fortune to stock my tanks how I want. Sydney has a much better selection of fish. I have a small V.Hartwegi that I paid $25 at 5". Grew it to 8" before my Texas tried to breed with her in my community tank and killed her. I replaced her with a 10" V. synspylus I paid $80.

I see now, anyway I look at them they're really nice fish.
Whats the temper like on your males?
mines a shocker, had to move an oscar to a 120 on its own, the Syn was just smashing it.
