V. Syn or Chocolate cichlid?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
was it $120 because you're in Australia? I thought I've read that you folks down-under have a tough time getting American cichlids . . .

Hey bud if your chasing any more I know of some that are about 12" for half the price.

are they in QLD though mate?, and is that Nic in your avatar yours? very nice fish anyway.

and yes all aussie prices are fairly high, and where Im at it can be hard to find cirtain Americans, Like Dovii, Umbee and Trimacs.

Any Aussie members chime in with a place I could find the harder to get American?

nice pick up and for a good quality syn 120 is not that much,i have seen them go for way more that that right here in the states(as with any thing if it was worth it to you then thats all that counts)

Nice looking fish. Ignore all the folks saying you paid way to much. They seem to think new world cichlids in Australia cost the same as in the states. As long as you are happy with it is all that really matters.

cheers all, I coudnt be happier with my Syn,
he just has a shocking temper in my 180, thinking about moving him as a single show fish in my 120.

nice, remind me of my old syns, but what happened to his fins?
heres an old pic

picked this fella up a few days ago.
Hes about 14'', paid $120.
asked how much for the Syn, and the lfs said he was a chocolate cichlid.
Im positive he is a V. Synspilum, but I'd like a 100% ID.

cheers
