It's a long story but the way my bit happened is I was trying to breed them. My male was just under 14 ft and the female was 10 ft. She had just done a molt and she didn't do to well (she was always a bad shedder). So since the male was ready to breed and she was being unresponsive I decided to shed her hopping that would help her. I put my gloves on got my tongs and hooks and started the adventure. My brother opened the cage and grabbed her with the tongs and so I went to grab her behind the neck and she had enough room to turn and bit no biggie got gloves on. Well it turned out that her fang was just long enough to puncture the skin on my left index finger just barely breaking the skin. I felt the poke put the snake in the cage pressure bandaged the bite and grabbed the venomous paperwork I had for care and stuff for the hospital and had my brother drive me to the hospital...
