venus fly trap eats a frog!!!!!

no, they do well in low light, moist, low nutrient soil. The problem is after they eat something, their leaves can rot VERY easily. You can lose an entire plant like this. Fortunately they aren't too expensive
 
What was wrong with that frog?
Was walking like it was drugged.
 
Yeah really... and no fight or anything after a friggin plant closed in on it.

Ive had a couple of these. Kind of boring. Then again, they are plants :P

they only rot when they eat a fatty meal. also they do best in bright indirect light. a terrarium is best suited for them. when you water them, only use RO, rain or purified water as they are sensitive to chlorine and chloramines and other stuff that can be found in tap. trust me, im a hortoculturist;)

i trust you, i was speaking out of personal experience, not scientific knowledge. Mine always did better in low light though :confused:
 
Most of the ones I have seen being sold, at home depot or lowes they usually have them, are very small, to small to be taking a frog. I bought one and it came in the pack with 2 other types of carnivores plants, can't remember the types. I got it to eat a fly once, and it died after that.
