Very expensive grouper

At my lfs. Not sure what kind, but a very impressive/expensive fish. Lfs recieved him for free when a customers tank broke down, but the manager will not sell him for anything less than $2,000.

looks like Newmarket Big Als

4,000 gallon tank at the Newmarket big als. Grouper is about 2 foot long and I'm guessing weighs close 40 pounds give or take.

It's an Epinephelus flavocaeruleus, found in Indian Ocean, commercial fish food!

Wow!! Can't narrow down the species. I've only seen that color combo in Aulacocephalus temminckii, the goldstripe soapfish. But, the yellow pectorals aren't part of the species coloration.

Fishes: Good find. I looked that one up but only turned up the juvie coloration.

The lfs owner wasn't even sure what it was, we all agreed that its one bad@ss fish though lol
