Very irritating visit to a LFS today.

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I wonder there'd be any result of you contacted your local animal welfare organization, or city council, even health dept? Surely them selling a diseased/dying animal, and mistreating (starving) the sharks constitutes animal cruelty
I didn't know discus turned black before dying, that's so fitting for fish that beautiful.

wondering if any one recomends a good skimmer and pump for 775g and how many gallons should my sump tank be apreciate any help thanks

Random question thats not related to this thread and I cannot answer. Start a thread for this question and post pics of your 775.

I see a lot of discus that look like that in the LFS around here. Drives me nuts.

That is a downer for sure. I would at minimum let the owners know how you feel in as compassionate as possible. Ignorance can be overcome.

If they push back, then go double barrell into the arses and threaten them/ proceed with a SPCA report.

yeah, i hate that, here in portland oregon, Cayes pets has a big nurse shark barely able to fit in its tank, i hate that store, dont go there

Anything on ebay or a fish store that says , "Can handle up to 800 gallons." That will be a BAD A skimmer ... only the good companies make them that big.

Sump tank size doesnt matter , its the bio room that is most important. I personally would do 150tank as the sump and make as much bio media space as possible. I would push 2,200 g/h into your sump and out.

Then i would hook up 2 FX5s.

Then on ebay buy some water pumps , they have them for 30$ for a double head 1,200 gallons. TWO of them that makes 2,400 g/h for 30$.

Good luck , you really should know all of this before you have a 775 gallon tank.... i hope you do some more reasearch
