I have had this puffer(takifugu ocellatus) for a little over two years now and its time to get him a new home. He is about 6" and in full freshwater, he has been on pellets since the day I got him but will also eat minnows if offered to him. He is a real looker and will stand out big time in any tank cause of his neon orange color.

Looking to get $80.00 or best offer and is local pick up only.:D

Bump for nice Puffer.

I've heard more on the brakish side but I myself would'nt even risk placing him in a SW set up just cause I've seen how good its been in freshwater.

Just curious. Pufferforum shows them as Marine/Brackish. I am assuming he was FW when you got him then. At what size did you get him?

I got him at about 3-4". I also think i have some old pics on my computer at home of when i first got it, There really wasnt much of a pattern back then it was almost solid orange on the top half.

They tolerate fresh water at young ages and need to acclimate over to marine/brackish with adult age - or they'll die in a few years.

That's what I've been told, anyway.

I'm going to test your theory out with the FW archer I got from dodgers86.

I've seen dodgers86's collection and are really healthy so I know he must dedicate a lot of time on his fish. Buy with confidence. If I didn't already have a monster fish I would pick up that puffer.:D

If you want to ship pm me your paypal... Other wise BUMP!!! Sweet looking puffer
