You two are coming from two different perspectives/views/pleasures. One is happy with bare bones race car go fast that needs manually setup(me too), and one wants the car with leather/cd player/everything else automatic adjusted for them. One is for the guy who likes to go fast and one is probably with a few exceptions for the guy who could go/wants to look like he's going fast. Nothing wrong with either. Different strokes for different folks but I'll give my opinion on the car.

I've been a car guy for a long time. That said I wouldn't waste my money on that thing. Not knocking anyone who has one or likes it but I throw more respect to the guy with the 1000-1400hp supra, or extreme hot rod he built in his garage with imagination/inginuity.

IMO it's a car for people where money is infinite, imagination/tuning is short, and just want the bragging rights. There are a few collectors who know cars, i.e. Jay Leno who would/could purchase one but there is a majority who have the money who probably couldn't tell you the first thing how it works, will never take it over 80mph, couldn't handle the car with the go pedal mashed, and will only drive it on special occasions worried more about investment than enjoyment.

I totally agree with you. I am all about the diy. I was just pointing out how impressive and technological it was. The advancement is insane. It is just an extension of all the tidbits that are being randomly inserted in all cars on the road (this was meant to be a model of all that VW can do). As said most of the people buying these will never truly drive them.

Agree technology wise with the self adjusting spoiler/suspension it's a feat.. it also means you will see such options on more affordable higher end cars within time..:)

got i just want 15min behind the wheel thats all just 15 min

anyone watch topgear where they put this car on a top speed test and they ended up saying that at top speen its tires would only last like 15 or 20 min but the gas would only last 10 or 15 so it was ok. man i love that show

That was pretty much my point. The car itself may be capable of being very fast, but in many cases with the actual owner driving it would most likely get beaten around the track (a proper one with corners like the nurnberg ring, not come nascar-type oval) but a good driver in a car with 1/4 the power costing 1/10th the price.
The CAR might do its talking at the track (during production), but generally the owners don't.
