Little update of the male...female was too weary of the over head flash setup...and well I also need to work while at work so no time to wait lol.

Wow bro I really like how clean he looks:) how's the pairing going btw? I just love rtm's now what a great species!
 
I will get some of the female when I have some more time....she was hiding most of the time with the flash on top of the tank. I have confidence they would spawn if I took the divider out...but I am holding off until they get a little bigger to do so. I also want to move them into a 55g but i have to setup another tank and move something out of that.

The RTM is topping my charts really. I knew the females were nice looking but the pics I had seen of the males never appealed to me. But in person its a much nicer fish...and I have seen more photos now. Really like them.
 
Here are some quick non flattering shots of her. She looses a lot of her color when I start taking pics. She usually is sporting some nice black down her back and color is a little more rich.

She still looks good even while being camera shy. I like them both. What would be the best minimize size tank for a pair of RTM? I'm starting a few new tanks. One was going to be a Salvini Pair-only tank but if I can swing the tank space I may set up a tank for a RTM pair instead. I like the behavior and colors of both species honestly.
 
I am thinking a 75 might be the smallest? I think they max out at 12"
 
I'd guess he is 3.5-4". When I finally move them to there 55 I'll put a tape on him.
