I used to play Call of Duty 4 for ps3 religiously, like 18 days worth of play time online; that was in my final school year when I wasn't too bothered with grades and stuff, accepted into uni anyway.

Since then I haven't really gamed, but wanted the ps4 purely for Fallout 4. I'll never fall under the bracket of hardcore gamer, very casual; whenever takes my fancy now. I also really enjoy playing games with groups of friends, such as Crash Team Racing for ps1, but I think modern gaming culture has killed it with all the online season pass nonsense, relegating it to the back corners of Wii or whichever else that I'm basically never gonna buy.

I agree. Micro transactions, season passes and hidden content via paywall is bad. But it won't kill the industry due to people buy into that crap.

Besides that I play Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii, DS, occasionally PC and I'm supposed to be getting the XBone this weekend as a late Christmas present.....I'm not addicted, I swear.

sorry, I meant killing the culture of gaming in a group; now the focus is on people to buy a console each and play from their own houses against each other, money money money

That too.

That too. If it's not console/PC wars it's something else that's ridiculous

Was a huge cod4 player back in the day, still fire it up every once and a while. Call of Duty is absolutely ridiculous now, feel bad for people who werent around for the first few.

Someone mentioned mgs, mgs1 for ps1 is still my all time favorite game, still play vr training on a digital copy on ps3....ahh the memories.

Dont game that often anymore however because of school and lack of interest :(

They killed Call of Duty imo too. Cod4 was a very polished, smooth game to play; very well made, and simple.

Now all this complex stuff just totally switches me off, overcooked the whole thing. If they made a new call of duty for ps4, and did a carbon copy of cod4 for ps3 with different levels etc, I bet they'd sell a tonne

The thing is they wouldnt. Only old school players would be a fan, cod players nowadays are young teenage kids who want brand new things and to be able to fly around the map.

This years will be make or break imo, I really hope they go back to WWII..

They probably won't. But o agree that they'd make a TON of money by either doing a rerelease of Cod 4 with upgraded graphics and more maps and a few new game modes. It's like how capcom came out with the Devil May Cry reboot that completely tanked. But they made WAY more by doing a rerelease of the fourth game from the original.

Modern warfare 2 is my favorite cod game. I played that (multiplayer) game exclusively up until advanced warfare came out lol.
I've been playing black ops 3. I don't really like it but I love online multiplayer games and star wars wasn't doing it for me

I'm still playing mgs5. The games seems to never have an end lol.

I liked mgs1 and mgs3, stopped after 4,

I really enjoyed mw2 as well, Harrier-Chopper Gunner then nuke all day haha
