Vieja argenteas

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
when looking at "my" fish in person the females appear to have a washed out coloration body wise as will as a lesser amount of the fine black spects when compared to a mature male.

Looks like two males just from the head profile of both. I've had a couple of pair of Argentea, the one thing I've always noticed is the freckling seems to be much less pronounced on the females. Especially in the fins.
Jamie , I know where there's a nice big egg laying female here on Long Island. She was half of the breeders I had. If you'r looking for a nice female let me know. If she's still available I can ship her to you.

Any idea on cost? I just bought a motorcycle so my random spending fund needs to replenish a bit before more extravagant purchases. :(

Your fish is probably like "thanks for moving this big dude in my tank"....Sorry bro.

Hope you locate a viable sized female, I have the opposite problem with my tank, one large male, one small male, and four females. I was hoping for at least two spawning pairs however I may have to put the smaller male in a seperate tank and grow him out. :(

Send me a female and we'd both be happier ;)
