Of course you also have when states issue more CCW violent crimes drop. Area with tighter restrictions in general regarding firearms have higher violent crime.

There is a logical link between violent crime and gun ownership, while the scenario you proposed they arnt even related. Antigun groups try to say increased gun ownership increases crime, but actual numbers disagree. Nice try though.

A "logical link" does not mean correlation, and even correlation does not mean causation. Read what you will into the facts of 1) increased gun ownership and 2) decreased violent crime - one does not beget the other.

I could make my argument "logically link" by saying car fatalities have decreased while gas prices have increased. People drive less because it's more expensive, right? While in reality there are other variables that correlate more, like improved safety features. High gas prices may indeed reduce fatalities, but not by much when compared with other variables.

Again, I'm not-anti gun. I'm anti-logical fallacies.

Here in Detriot we are the murder capital of the world again or very close. Anyways No matter what we have always had a promblem with gun violence. Any answers so our stupid politicians over here can get some ideas. We have people in the city council quitting because they don't know what to do about the violence. Helpful suggestions welcome.
