it dragged on too long. this could have been finished a lot quicker if the indian commandoes had advanced Spec ops training. SAS or Delta would have had this wrapped up in the first 36hrs, after negotiations failed in the first 24 or first hostage death, ultimately leading to less collateral damage. those guys train for this and have units that do only this type of op as a specialisation. from what i was able to see on the news the indian commandoes were nowhere near as well equipped or prepared for such a scenario.
but it is very good news that its over. and there are now a few less terrorists in the world. now its the hellish time for the families of the deceased to try and piece together their shattered lives. i hope they get the support they deserve and will need.
