Violent skin reaction to water, has this happend to you?

i get bumps on my forarms if i dont use soap to wash after putting my hands in the tank.. ..

i can work with fiberglass and crawl around in sludge for days.. but if i use lotion or put my hands in the tank my skin geeks out...

My friend got it on his thumb where he had a cut after changing water in all Discus tanks prior to his vacation. He had to go to the emergency room while on vacation it got so infected. The ER Doctor asked him if he'd been in contact with any water with fish in it......my friend was shocked that he could tell.

Not so much an infection as your body telling an infection that it's not allowed to go anywhere... but can't get rid of it. Sounds cool, but the only problem is they're EXTREMELY painful and usually have to be excised.

Wow, I've heard of people having reactions, but didn't realize it was this common. I have pretty sensitive skin by most standards, but I could be in my tank all day with no issues. I don't even generally wash my hands or arms, just dry (unless I'm in there for a while or cleaning filters).
