Sorry, I don't have any advice on fixing viruses.

I've been running my Mac for over two years with no virus protection of any kind. :headbang2

Same here. My school's network requires this PITA security software to be downloaded onto your computer before logging in for the first time, but not on Macs. The software is always causing my friends running Windows all sorts of problems. I'm so glad I've never had to bother with it.

haha thought iwas gonna get flamed in the lounge there for a minute but yea i guess i always gotta void the broad sweeping statements on here...if someone on ehre cant help u im sure someone on a techforum can

That sucks man. Something similar happened to me once. I was doing a report in college on the history of beer and somehow I got drunk. :D

your on the wrong forum man...we are fish keepers lol but anywho, your best bet is toget on another computer and google the exact error message that you are receiving and then read through the results till u find a forum where someone can get u straightened out...my pops is pretty good with computers and he learns alot from doing this sort of thing...goodluck and you might want to change majors...baha

Ask your pops what site he goes on that is safe to use?

Thanks

what kind of virus protection you using? dont you have virus protection? spyware malware nothing installed? now you need to put a rubber on your comp to keep you from getting bugs... im gonna have to use that research line  :ROFL:

get some virus protection on there for future research protection... and if no program will remove it that you can get re format the comp...

I do, EA Virus something? ... it caught the virus as all these windows popped open advising of the virus and option to clean & fix, which I did. It looks as this virus deleted explorer.exe as a window pops up every time I logg on.

This was part of the research as to how many clicks does it take before a trojan get's downloaded. The second part of the research is preventing and rectifying the problem.

Man, what I do for the name of research.....;)
