Thanks for clarifying. I haven't been on my laptop yet and my phone doesn't load those maps too well if at all.

OP, I understand what your saying now. That would irk me too. I thought you were going on about the EC and we should go to popular vote which atm wouldn't have made a difference.
 
As long as the electoral college is in place, there are going to be states that 'don't matter' because they are slowpokes. Maybe Florida should get its $#!% together and get those votes counted more quickly. C'mon, California was three hours behind, had MORE people, and was STILL finished beforehand!

didn't they do this dance 12 years ago too? held up an election that time. luckily this year it didn't matter
 
And yes, electoral college predates the era of near-instantaneous communication. In fact, hearkens back to a time when democratic (as in, everyone votes, not just representatives) would have been impossible to coordinate due to travel limitations of the era.
 
Not to be combative but I'm from Oregon so I have little sympathy. Sounds like your complaining that your vote wasn't needed to ensure an accurate outcome. Happens to us every election.
