W.C. Jumbo clown loaches won't eat!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
When I cleaned the tank today I noticed one of the loaches is really stressed. It's breathing heavy and it's face is looking pretty dark. I made some more hiding places for them to try and reduce the stress. Should I put this stressed loach into the 10 gallon and treat it with something as it's fins also ragged and he may succumb to an infection from not moving around enough. He looks like he is on deaths door bed!!!

Best thing you can do:

Leave them alone. Period.

The more you rearrange things with CL's, the less they settle in.

Don't worry about them not eating. They probably are. Drop a few sinking wafers in at a night, guarantee they are picking them while the lights are off.

It takes CL's a long while to set in sometimes.

Try "Kent Marine Garlic Xtreme". It works miracles in getting fish to eat & boosts their immune system. Its also supposed to help rid them of external & internal parasites. They are very sensitive to the smell & will come out very quickly looking for food. Be sure not to overfeed them in their feeding frenzy, though. Some ghost shrimp or pest MTS snails for them to hunt may not be a bad idea, either. Use the garlic to make them hungry, then drop in the GS or MTS & wait for nature to take over! EDIT: dim lighting will make all of this easier.
