Got these rays the other day from lfs. I have been watching them for a few months while my tank cycled. Owner believes they are wild caught, I agree. They are eating crawlers and nibbling on various other foods. From what I have read this is not a good looking poop. On the first day or two I did see nice curly dark poos, which I understand is desirable. Wondering if I should treat them with meds for parasites, and what is best? They are the only 2 fish in the tank. Should I let them settle in more first?

I've always had captive rays and not had to deal with parasites but yes to me that poop looks odd. General recommendation is to dose with prazi. I also agree they look thin. Very flat without any meat to them. Feed them heavily multiple times per day. How old are they roughly? And what species were they sold as?

I just offered them some shrimp for the first time today. They accepted it pretty easily. At the store they were getting offered anything and everything from what I understand, worms being the staple.

I have been watching them at the store since around early january. They were sold as motoros, the larger seems to have a bit of patter coming in between his spots though. I've been feeding them multiple times a day. They have got nice plump bootys. My rear camera on my phone is cracked so I apologize for the terrible pics.

i feel the poop is normal.... i have been seeing this type of poop since i had the rays for a couple of months.... they are eating very well....

how much do you feed them? I feed them 4-5 market prawns twice a day...

Don't look at their crap, if they are eating and active forget all the micro analyzing. If they are eating well for a month I would definitely do two cycles of prazi.
