Tomorrow is water change day for me, and I was just wondering about buying a python water changer, so I can get rid of all my buckets. Do you guys recommend this since it would be straight from the tap, or should i just continue doing bucket by bucket. If i did buy a python I would of course add dechlorninator after I fill the tank back up.

Dude, you have to get the python. I got one over the summer and it made my life an absolute sh**load easier. So yes, I 100% without a doubt recommend you get one.

I add half my dechlorinator at the beginning of the refill and half at the end. No problems at all

Most of us have a Python or some other way to change water without buckets.

When you start refilling put either half or all your declorinator in first in the area that the new water is entering the tank so it can grab the chlorine as it flows in.

After you get the drain started you can turn off the faucet and it will still siphon the tank to save water/money. I actually disconnect the hose from the faucet portion and run the hose outside to feed plants. This can save you money both on water and sewer bills.
