Waitress messed up my Bank Acct!

My sister and I treated our mom and a few others to dinner last night. (Moms' Birthday.) Split the bill, she paid for one more person than me. Her 1/2 was $45. mine was $35. We gave our CC's to waitress, explained, she said "Ok, no problem". Waitress comes back 5 long min. later. Explains that she accidentally put the higher one on mine, but then voided it, but voided twice by accident,--then she tried to bill me for my 1/2, but it wouldn't go through..........."sorry 'bout that:D'...<><>Now, my sister has to ok her to put the whole amount on her CC. WAIT FOR IT...WAIT FOR IT...:nilly: I tried to get gasoline on the way home..........NO. Today, I go to bank, TRY to straighten things out.......NO, they can't do anything 'til Monday, and my account is FROZEN, due to the fact that it looked like my card had been stolen! This waitress was overheard bragging to other diners "I've been here for over 4 years!".....Wonder how many other times she messed things up for customers! :shakehead Has anything like this happened to you? :popcorn:
 
I don't know how much longer she would have been in their employ after I would have had a talk with management.
 
Stuff like that happens all the time when running cards. It will get straightend out quickly I'm sure.

I did it to myself at the gas station today. I lifted the handle for mid grade (not thinking I was in my supercharged beast that needs 93 oct). Cancelled the deal and re-ran my card. It sensed that I was trying to do too much at once and I had to go inside to run it due to the error the pump was reading. If it cancelled twice, it's flagged by the bank to protect you.
 
My card is actually a Bank Debit Card, I hate CC's. It just sucks to the max.I can't get anything from my account until Mondya. It screwed up my weekend really badly. Can't do much with out money and a 1/4 tank of gas! I am going to talk to owner, in person, when this is fixed and I have gas in car to go back out there. It's 45 min. drive. Oh well, lesson learned I guess. I just like using my bank debit card, then I have a record of what I spent and where. Just amazing what some one can do with one wrong tap of a button on those stupid little machines.
 
Mom's birthday, and you treated her at a restaurant that costs $10.00 per person! :swear: Next time, ask sister if it's ok to put the whole amount on her card, and give her $35 later, or put it on your card, and collect $45 from her later.

Probably she's also the manager/owner, or at least manager/owner's wife or daughter :D
 
I'd make sure that the whole bill got refunded, your time, GAS and trouble is worth more than the dinner bill.. get up in girl! Don't let it get forgotten, and really she obviously was not paying much attention.. to jack it up that many times... so she deserves a reprimand..

Ive ran many a CC in my day, and never have I messed it up that many times... to freeze someone's account.. especially not during one transaction... crappy thing is that she probably could have cancelled the transaction to show as if it never happend.. probably both times too.
