Waitress messed up my Bank Acct!

Yeah it sucks when people mess up you bank card or cc. I would have asked for the manager and had my meals comped. I used to manage a restaurant and if a customer would have had an issue like this then I would have not charges them at all.

A few years ago I pumped then 35 bucks of gas into my car. I had already slid my debit card and entered my pin. After pumping the gas it said my card was denied. When I pulled up to the window the man said my card was denied and was not charged. So I being in a hurry paid for the gas and left. The next day I check my account an low and behold there it was 2 charges for 35 dollars. It took 4 weeks for company to mail me a refund. I will never get gas from a Gas House again.

I've had similiar things happen when dealing with splitting a meal between different people all using cards. Never to that extent, but hey, it happens.

I'd make sure that the whole bill got refunded, your time, GAS and trouble is worth more than the dinner bill.. get up in girl! Don't let it get forgotten, and really she obviously was not paying much attention.. to jack it up that many times... so she deserves a reprimand.

Why stop there? I'm sure we can have her killed in some Islamic countries. Seriously though, mistakes happen, and she's not entitled to anything other than having the mistake fixed. Punitive damages, emotional distress, etc, etc are all not applicable in this situation. And it's a lot easier for a manager to comp the meal that night, and not days or weeks later. Just sayin'

My card is actually a Bank Debit Card, I hate CC's. It just sucks to the max.I can't get anything from my account until Mondya. It screwed up my weekend really badly. Can't do much with out money and a 1/4 tank of gas! I am going to talk to owner, in person, when this is fixed and I have gas in car to go back out there. It's 45 min. drive.

CCs are a much better form of protection from your money than a bank card. If you use the CC as a bank card and pay it off every month, then you have effectively given yourself more protection than a bank card.
If a bank card is compromised, your money is removed and it takes a few days to clear up that identity theft or w/e. In the mean time, you're without money because it *is* removed from your account. Doesn't sound too great to me! If your CC is compromised, charges are reversed, and no money is ever taken from your bank account. You also have that debit card available in case of emergencies. I can't imagine *not* using a credit card. I use mine for everything, enjoy my cash back, and pay it off every month. This makes everything 1.5% cheaper every month. I think I have a few hundred in rewards waiting to be redeemed.

i'm a credit card person or cash person. I always have some cash on me, but use my credit card a lot

But like stated earlier, mistakes happen. Are you really going to waste so much of your time to drive back there and complain. That just seems silly to me. Do you really have that much free time on your hands?

All I'm saying is that you have to make consequences memorable so that it doesn't continue happening.. mistake yes, most likely not paying attention to cause that mistake, that many times.

Other peoples money deserves my undevided attention.. when processing a transaction.. that could have been the case and it's the retardedness that's coming into play...

and if the manager had refunded that night... then there wouldn't be such a problem.. and that's also her fault, for not notifying the manager immediately!!
