Wal-Mart and fish..

My local Wal*Mart has decent tanks. The water always looks good, although that doesn't mean it is neccessarily, but I don't see more than average dead fish in their tanks, they don't seem terribly overcrowded and the fish look relatively healthy. That said, I still wouldn't buy from them, just as I don't buy from Petsmart. No matter how good the fish look you have no idea what's going on in those tanks at a place like Wal*Mart. I've never seen anyone attending to the fish there. I like fish stores that wont sell fish to you under certain conditions because they know and care about what they're doing.

Like I have said before, the big chain stores have run alot of local LFS out of business for some of us. Im no fan of Wal-mart live stock, but Petco and the other ones are all some of us have left to buy from..........I am not endorsing any of the big chains by far....
i always felt bad not doing anything and my GF said "do you want to feed them?" she just threw jet fuel on the fire!!! i didn't even hesitate then..Aquarist123;1250931; said:
