wal-mart fish

My closest Wal-Mart always has "Assorted Cichlids", many of which are hybrids. That's kinda dumb, but I wouldn't buy from them anyway.

I managed the pet department at a Wal-Mart about 5or6 years ago. I started carrying arrowanas, discus, mono's, Gobys, killifishes, bichirs etc... But now suppliers are limited on what they can sell to wal-mart by the Home Office. Probably a good thing.

Once at WalMart I saw a beauty 2" panaque, but at the time I only had my ten gallon... :(

I bought my sengal bichir at walmart at 2'' and it is now over 10''. I also had a few gsp from there that lasted for a few years until a power outage got them. Out of all the fish i have had from there the only one that died for no reason was a peacock eel. i wish i could find soem fire eels. I would get some for sure.

my walmart has special fish. most of the tanks have invisible fish, and the rest have fish trained to float upside down at the top of the tank......for feeding i guess

my walmart doesn't even stock fish or anything to do with them... they have lots of tv stands tho...

Did you know that in NC, all the pacu's that wal-mart sells only get to 12"? It must be a new hybrid species.
