i have not bought walmart fish in many years but i did go there a few weeks ago to buy an air pump and noticed that they had oscars and albino channel cats. their fish always are so lacking in luster. also, the employees at the walmart pet department is always the 40ish lady who just came back from a smoke break and when you ask her about something, you realize that she doesn't know what she's talking about.

i have got alot of koi including butterflys for $4 at 8" each...they don't allways have the most intelagent people working in the fish section or any section for that matter...the other day i went to buy my hunting lisense and had to tell the guy how to punch it in....

I was in one of 2 local wally worlds the other day after some fishing gear and was behind a guy at the register and he had a buggy with a 29g kit and 4 bags of fish so i asked him what kind of fish he had, he said "im not sure" so i asked to see and he had 2 oscars, 1 pacu, 5 guppies, and like 10 or 15 tetras. I told him the oscars would eat the guppies and tetras. He looked at me with a "STFU" look and said they'll be ok. I told him to keep the receipt. lol
honestly, the walmart near me has as much selection of africans as a petsmart or petco would (not saying i would buy from any of them). i have seen bichirs at the walmart too
