Wal-Mart Protest........... *PLEASE HELP*

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Best way to address something like this is bring a store manager to a situation as you see it. If you see nasty water, half emtpy cups etc.... find a power figure and bring them over. Don't ever touch their stock to help them out. They can actualy come back at you legally for doing something you think is 'fixing' a problem.

technically you could bring that up as animal cruelty, my walmart no longer has aquatics, after the incidint, like evrey fish died in a matter of 3 minutes or something. Bring it up as animal cruelty.. Oh and dont support the chinese sweat shops that are making your aquarium products!!!

The Wal Mart closest to me that carried fish just got remodeled and they took the fish out. They still sell aquarium supplies. If you have a problem call corporate. That's the only way I've found to get a response. I was once told by the lady in charge of the fish "I don't care. It's just a job.". I called corporate about a betta completely covered in ich that I was able to rescue for free. Here's some pictures.
When I first rescued her.

The store manager called me back and said that they hadn't seen anything with ich. I brought in the photo of the betta with ich and explained that the fish must have had it for a few weeks to get that bad. He said he would keep an eye on the bettas and that the whole live fish section was being removed in the remodel. I didn't pursue it any further since it was being taken out.

my walmart closed its fish counter cus none of the employees felt like taking care of the fish but when they did have it it was pretty bad

The new super walmart by me all ready stoped carrying fish

its just a matter of time before walmart no longer carries fish

The best thing to do is to not buy ANYTHING from Wal-Mart EVER.

Complaining to store managers or Wal-Mart corporate might change the immediate situation, but mal-treatment of fish (and employees for that matter) is part of their business plan.

Taking decent care of their fish (or employees) would cost more...and that's just not in the cards.

The alternative is to another thread on here complaining about how bad Wal-Mart's fish are.
