Wallace's shoehead catfish

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
So would there still be any possibility of transferring any diseases if I washed the shrimp off in some newly made dechlorinated water?
Is it working for you?
There’s always a chance. Some parasites or internal bacteria cannot be washed away. If u trust ur lfs then go ahead. Can always pre treat in a separate bucket with salt and methylene blue. The cat went after it and retreated back to the wood. Just gonna keep trying and in the meantime prep a qt tank with meds.

Couple of early morning shots. A little bit of light isn’t tolerated. It swam back down to the bottom among the plants with my cell phone light. Slow moving and fins move quick...reminds of a hummingbird the way it can hover and collect nectar.

Quick update. They have been moved to a smaller tank space so I can make sure they can eat. Have put on maybe 0.5-.75 in in size. Two different color patterns. Still taking cut up fish and shrimp. Doing well. May end up doing a mini black water tank for them. Will see!

It's wonderful to see that they have thrived and grown, I look forward to seeing them progress :).
