anybody have experience to share about wyckii? are they pretty much the same deal as wallago attu's? meaning mostly a big log during the day? do they at least show some interaction when food is present?

That's the deal with most large catfish save for paroon sharks, and irridescent sharks. Get a pangasius if you want an daytime active catfish otherwise probably 75-%80 are logs during the day. Channel catfish are also pretty active. Never kept the others, just saying. Anyone else feel free to chime in on the behavior of the others.

My heterobranchus swims about a fair bit and then when you tap the top of his tank it is express time. The Wykii swims to the top and reral alert as soon as I go near the tank.
My Tig moves when hungry and then does a stufed zebra impression as does my sturio. Bolt cat is pretty active.
Necro there was a BoltxRTC for sale in the UK recently. Not into Hybrids at all but I bet it was a big active cat.

That's a nice hybrid, and I've only seen pics of one, that were fuzzy as hell, but I would love to see or own one. I'd like to do the hybrid and get a bolt cat to go with it and my other catfish.

My Bolt is in with a couple of Lno plecos and a Vieja Argentea. It keeps the Argee on its toes (fins!?!) and will snatch prawns out of its mouth.

Forgot to mention my Sperata; he is a pretty active cat and stunning.

My marmoratus has lost nearly all of its markings which is a shame as it was really well marked. Never mind it is still a nice fish

Is it Sperata aor? I want one so bad. How big is it? I know they get massive in the wild.

he is Aor and a lovely aluminium colour. He is about 18" now so still a midget. Had another one but my Pseudopimelodus Ranius killed him. The bloody Ranius was only in the tank for a night and only a third the size.

We live and learn huh?

Yeah that's for sure, my black bullhead killed one of my channels, and my jau killed another, now I am down to one. If you get a chance do a pic thread on him or do you already have one? What's his light sabre look like?
