So the real question is that do OP want an inactive fish that only get active in night? I am not saying that OP should not own the walleye, I am just make sure that he is awared of it.

There is no reason to feed a preditor fish like a walleye every day, a full meal every three days or so would be fine. Walleye genrally like cool water so try to keep it in the low 70's or high 60's if you can. Lower temps will not hurt them but really high temps wopuld be a problem. They do get big but unlike many here I see no reason to expect a captive fish to get to the maximum wild caught size,

good post Moontanman!

Room temps will do fine as long as it doesnt get too hot.

Feeding depends on the size of a fish. When they are small I would feed everyday. As you approach the size that you "want" start feeding every other day. Eventually a full grown probably only needs to eat three times a week to be content, but should be fed good portions.

These fish do get big, but they are nocturnal for the most part, and spend pretty much all day sitting on the bottom. Not necessarily something I would want, but go for it if you can provide the space.

+ Moonlights would make for a cool display...but thats only if the walleyes co-operate with activity. Feed at night possibly?
