Hmmmm.....I've never been to this place you call 'WallMart'. Is it like Wal-Mart? Interesting. There's not really anything that you can do. The fish are in such looow quality 80% of the time even if you did buy them to save them they have a very probable chance of dieing on you. I help people out by suggesting that they do things differently, telling them my past experiences, how long i've been keeping fish, stuff like that. Most of the time people listen to those people who have experience, not always though. Aggression and anger isn't the way to handle it though. Best way is through your own example. OR gettin a job there and makin a difference. I know it seems impossible, but every little thing counts, especially to that fish you help save.

Back when my mother was alive, she ran the Wal-Mart Pet dept. She had the best one by far. Almost never lost a fish, and everything was marked correctly. Regionals were not to happy about how much that one cost to run, so when they built a Supercenter, no more fish dept.
I just love when the employees at these places say, "well if it does die just bring it back for a refund"...........etc............
whenever I am dragged along their, I have go to the pet section, and warn people. once, an employee was telling a custumer that they could buy one of their octogon 1 gallon tanks, and put 7 neons, and 3 blackskirts and through them all together without problem. sorry to say, i could not stop them. That stubborn b!ch said "Who the hell cares if the fish are uncomfertable. they are FISH. Just a decoration that looks nice."I was about to hit her. On a very busy day, the dragon gobies were attacting alot of attention. I was getting tired of telling them not to get them, so I neal down and rip off the dragon goby tag. It was only a temporary save, but it worked. I was almost caught. An employee came up and said "is there a problem?" And out of nowhere, I say I am far/near sighted(wichever one worked), And was trying to see the "cool eel fish". It worked
I would have shoved her head into the tank, and if it doesnt fit...make it.
Our wally worlds here are horrible also. I applied for a job in the pet-dept in hopes of taking care of the fish but nooo they hire someone else (without experience - how dumb). Oh well. If I get the chance I always tell people to go somewhere else where they can get correct info and tell them what they need for what fish etc. usually it works. Except once this dumb lady insited she wanted african cichlids in her 10gal tank -_- couldnt stop her "they are so colorfull, the other fish are not" . Idiot. Anyways I now have a new plan.... I learned this the other day while I was standing around waiting for this guy to come back so I can get feeders. I had my mfk miami trip shirt on and it has fish on it. Well I think this lady thought I worked at the fish shop b/c of my shrit so she was asking me all these questions, then another lady came up and same thing and this happen like 4 times untill the guy came back. I think if you wear a fish shirt and tell them something - they will listen to you!! (I am glad to becuase the first lady that was asking me about sa cichlids she wanted to keep them with smaller comm fish and one of the employees said it was ok, I told her no and gave her the basic run down on cichlids) .
but its Miami trip... you didnt go to miami it even says miami on it o__o plus I didnt make them so its not like I make mfk shirts and give em out. sorrys.
