I went to the walmart that I usually go to, and saw that they had some fish they don't normally stock. They had Red Belly Pacu, Irridescent Sharks, and some others that I can't remember right now. The info cards said the Pacu and the Sharks grow to 10" and the others grow to 4". That's absurd! I wrote over their measurements, in black marker, the correct measurements. 4' for the shark' 2' for the Pacu, and 10" and 12" on the others. What is wrong with these people? The Walmart I go to is usually good with their fish and the info.

Ya, I see that stuff happen all the time. It's sad and the people simply don't care.

the info cards are a big joke there, but then again, so is the fish section in general

i agree it's ridiculously depressing... but sometimes, very rarely, you can get a steal there because they don't know the value of fish that aren't guppies or glowlight tetras.

Good for you, I wonder what their security department was thinking 9if they have one) when they saw you scribbiling on their tanks :ROFL:
the Walmart thats near me quit selling fish because they weren't making a profit

Yeah, cards at most stores are b.s, but walmart is really bad.

Good for you for writing in better measurements though.

uninformed non-aquarists will probably believe walmart's signs more than something that looks written on by someone

I have been looking through some books sometimes and they give away improper information. For instance Clownknife: 12 in Max or Ornate Bichir: 12 in.

But I agree, sometimes you can take advantage of the situation. Like my Clownknife, which was sold as a "tinfoil barb" or my royal pleco which was sold as a hi-fin. Thank you petco...idiots.
