This article just came up.in my Google feed. I didn't see it on first page of this section so figured I'd post. Apologies if already posted.

Good news for those of us that hate how they handled the sales. Bad news for suppliers business.

LOL!......and I have never seen an employee working in their aquarium area.

Hmm. Walmart sold 30% of all the tropical fish?

If so, do we now expect the overall cost of many publicly sold fish species to increase now as the overall supply drops? Without knowing the elasticity of tropical fish sales, assuming these are considered luxury goods, I'd imagine a 50% increase might be reasonable. But just guessing.

While possible, the alternate might be simply a decline in fish sales (thus decline in all related sales of equipment, fish food, etc.) In that case, do we now expect the overall cost of publicly sold fish equipment to increase in cost as well?

The walmart near me hasn't sold fish for like 10 years (aside from the bettas in cups which they stopped like 5 years ago)

Walmart stopped selling fish in Canada several yrs ago. The only thing that changed is now there is one less chain in Canada that does a piss poor job of caring for live fish.
