I usually fish in rivers and it's much more complicated than that.

What, you think I've never fished before? It's a pastime. Unless you're making your own fishing rod, line, and hook from material you find in the wild and hunting for your own bait, it's not that much different :)
 
The people who did this should be locked in a glass room with their hands tied and fed nothing but food items with sharp metal objects imbedded in them. Put these guys on the razorblade apple diet. They're barbless!

Size or quantity doesn't matter. You're still exploiting a fish's natural instinct to strike as a way to get them hooked on a lure so you can reel them in for your own personal enjoyment.

That, of course is true. But , maybe it wasn't that clear, my comment was about the "Challenge" factor of fishing, which you'll hopefully admit is higher in a lake or river than in an aquarium, especially such a small one.
