How big were these when you got em? were one of these from his very fist batch? i think your outgrowing mine.

is the male's claspers growing big yet?

one of my buddy's hystrix from Pedro last January that was the 3-4"ers is almost mature at about 7-8"

Thanks! Yea...the female was tiny at 2-3in tops and the male was just above her at 4in-ish. No claspers yet on the male but that mantilla/motoro hybrid is finally becoming a man

my mature, male motoro is really chasing my mantilla/motoro around so i think they are getting close Who is the partner going to be for your mantilla??

I've got a peru flower I'm hoping he takes a liking to I think the markings on the pups would be really cool. I'll post some shots in another thread in the near future as to not derail this one.

Looks like a hybrid to me and rate of growth also suggests this idea IMO.

she is pure, high growth rate but just wait till urs start growing out, they will look just like that one. My old male looked just like her

This ray has been bred by myself from a pair of Hystrix ive had for the past 10 years or more,they live alone so theres no chance of hybrid occuring.This Hystrix has a unique pattern which is very different to the parents.Here are some pictures of the parents,another of this one and one of my latest pups.
