any big cichlid like an oscar or a festae, green terror, red devil, midas, jag, flowerhorn, any acara (they require much less room than any others stated above), mota, dovii, umbee, and the list goes on........

I'm not a big Cichlid fan, but maybe that's just because i've never had one

I really like the Fahaka, but I tried to get one for about a year ago, and no LFS had one. Really hard to get in Norway. Maybe a need to take a trip to England if this is my choice.

I think the Aimara is a bit to much $$$, what's does it go for at your lfs? Never seen one over here.

Oscars while not the biggest monsters are def one of the most personable and intelligent IMO.
Ive seen people train them to do some neat stuff.
mine arent trained, but i started hand feeding them at about 3 1/2 " and now at 6" they will jump about 8" out of the water for their food.
now im searching for a hoop lol j/k.
but oscars are very cool fish.

if you want a puppy dog of a fish, puffer (mbu or fahaka) is the way to go.

My plakat is my best showing off fish. I have him in a 6.6 gallon bookshelf aquarium I got from Petco he has room to flip out. Which he does often.


That fish hates me so much. He'll attack my fingers on the plastic. He'll bit my hand. He'll do laps in the water like a dog!
