Go S. Vettel #1 rb8

One well respected member of the gar forum gave him information. Do we need 7 people saying the same thing for it to be relevant, or if one person's response answers the question why is there the need for other posters to post?

Still a dead gar waiting to happen.

He dont kno who is well respected

SixFish has been on this forum for 4 months. I've only been here for 2 and know that Wiggles92 is one of the well respected people on here. There are plenty of other well respected people with experience that haven't chimed in yet because they either 1)Agree with Wiggles92, or 2)Don't feel like answering anymore questions about gar tank mates, because really and truly there aren't many tank mates that are stable with a gar.

Oops now looking at the date this thread was started...that's embarrassing haha...well now he knows Wiggles92 is a good member! Lol...my bad for not paying attention :)

while the advise was sound in the end people do what they want regardless of how many here tell them its a bad idea. happens all the time.. the Oscars look like they are just starting to mature... so the tank dynamic will change, how violently depends on the fish. ime. cichlids are fine with gar, until they hit maturity and want to start breeding and stakeing out territory. short term it works, long term not so much.

^Another respectable member in case any other new people are reading this :)

exactly.

the question was posed, and one of THIS forum's moderators answered the question. why do we need a host of other people saying "i agree, i agree too, i really agree too, etc etc"???

as stated earlier in the thread, this happens all the time, someone poses a question, they get an answer based on reasonable info and/or experience, and the OP just does what they wanted to do reGARdless of the input. look at the photos the OP posted...giant oscars too???

the combo is a bad idea, and no, we didn't need 20 regular forum posters to reiterate what Ryan (wiggles) said...especially since we know that 20 people can say one thing (usually the reasonable option), and a poster will go with the ONE person who says they had the opposite work for 3 months.--
