On a side note, does anyone here have a suppressor? Im hoping to get one soon since I cant afford full auto!

o.k......... then why in god's green earth would you ever need a supressor??? covert anti terror purposes yes but anything else ??? for what civilian purpose would this be employed........i cant think of any short of plinking a gopher........but then you could easily use a vermint rifle??...........

My main reason is for plinking. I want to shoot in my backyard with out annoying the neighbors. Im thinking of a surpressed walther P22. Though one for my AR or one on a 1911 would be nice.

Shoot Aguila sub sonics for your .22, they have no powder and sound a little louder then a pellet gun. They go 500 fps. and the only thing that pushes the bullet is the primer. Good for plinking, but not for killing anything.

No point for plinking suppressed.. you have to change the baffles out every 20 rounds and it gets pricey and annoying..Subsonic 'cat sneeze' custom loads work just as well.

Back to point though....If you actually consider longer prison times it only means more of a strain on state resources for a rather low level crime thereby reducing available funds to actual law enforcement. Possession alone should not mean higher jail time. Only in connection to an actual weapons offense or felony should such things be considered. Fines are a different matter and these should be raised for illegal firearm possession.
