dont go crazy LBF. just get one or two more once you get settled. if you get too many he may see it as an abuse of his good will. he may say it is ok but im sure he probably means one or 2 more.

uhm that is about minimum wage.... You would have to work at $9.50/hr for 40hours a week to make $1200 after taxes. Finding jobs that pay that much is not extremely difficult but getting them is. Aslo I agree 2 tanks and no more... don't go over board. If he is being nice then don't abuse it.

Why does the OP avoid answering questions.... unless he wants to?

Your story does not make sense? Well not all of it anyways.

You have no job correct? Any plans on getting a job?

If you are on SSI, I assume that for your case this is a permanant income awarded to you by the state and not a temporary thing until you turn 21 as is in some cases(basing this on VA laws). You can in most states work a certain number of hours/make a certain amount of money before your SSI gets docked. For most people a general part time job works out to being perfectly acceptable.

Have you discussed housing with your social worker? There are tons of complexes out there for lower income persons or those who are disabled, I doubt you would need a co-signer for one of these as they are ran through community service agencies.

Honestly if you saved up enough money to cover yourself for a couple of months the 2BR would be cheaper as you could ge a friend or whatever to be a roomate. Then your rent would be cut down to $200, and your other expenses would be cut in half. Also wouldnt cost much more to run a 2BR place than a single one so you would actually be spending less per month in the end, plus have some company which is helpful I think.

I would also strongly recommend you stop renting a computer for that price each month, you can get a brand new decent Dell laptop for well under $500...theyre not gaming machines but it will perform most any task you could ask of it. Not to mention the fact *YOU* would own the computer. Heck if you shop around hard enough you could find a pretty oK one for $350.

I am single and live primarily by myself and have since I was 16, my parents own two homes and they have taken up primary residence at their lake property. It is rough living on your own, Ive never had to pay rent but while I was still in university it was rough keeping up with the bills at times. Even now that I have graduated and make a good salary its hard to keep pouring into the savings account so I can also move, plus maintain a standard of living.

9.5 hr for 40 hrs is no where near 1200? In aus if u make 1000 a week before tax you'll only get 800 in your hand it's about 20 percent tax which your work pays straight to the tax office

Yes it is, 40hrs per week at 9.50 = $308ish after taxes, you get paid 4 times a month so $308x4=$1232 =] I dont know how much is taken out of taxes to be honest, but thats what I used to get paid and made in a month...
