maybe try a Smailtail Nurse?

Hmmm .. you mean the Short tailed Nurse. While Short tail Nurses are much smaller - they are also much rarer and harder to get.

are you looking for a real nurse shark? or a sand tiger shark?

Actually Sand tigers are also called Gray Nurse sharks, not Nurse Sharks. And in the States - a private aquarist can't legally own a Sand Tiger/Grey Nurse. Only Public Aquariums can keep Sand Tigers/Grey Nurse.

So I believe he means the Nurse Shark (Ginglymostoma cirratum).

come on guys this is MFK ... does anyone have a nurse shark to sell this guy?!

Exactly. I'm sure once he sees it is getting pretty big a few years down the road he will find it a new home or make a bigger one. I don't see anyone getting on anyone else's back about other large fish, IE Fila's and what nots

There used to be this really cool saltwater website that could get pretty much anything but I forgot the name. I would search around online and or something for an online place to buy a shark of some sort and or you can try aquabid.com for something. Good luck on your search.

Do you have a picture by-the-way?

Sometimes since your new, we just don't really know what all your about, and sorry if people come off as rude, they just want to know you know what your getting into and that you know the potential of the fish. Nothing personal on you, we just care A LOT about our fish, that's all. :) Good luck again. I'll keep an eye out for you

They have one for sale in a pet shop called the Pet station. He's about 3 feet long and they want $700 bucks for him. He will probaly go lower cause he's been there a good 8 months. Pet Station is in Dearborn, Mi.

BTW - the shark has been sitting in a 4' x 4' tank this whole time!!!

that is right , that nurse mike picked up, he works at pet station , it originally came from a restaruant that was closed down, the nurse was left in the tank of the retaruant for 2 weeks or so, no power, food or nothing, a guy contacted mike about him and he got him for free, then he kept the shark in a 180 6x2x2 for a while and tried selling him as well, no one bit on it and so he took it to his work,it's been their since, that is a crazy asking price and he is well over priced nurse's should range from $100.00-$250.00, the tropicorium usally sells them for a 100.00 ea. when they get cb pups in, knowing pet station that is like a store mascot, it brings a lot of people into the store and promotes business because people wanna come see him they really don't wanna sell him so thats why the price is soooo high the whole story is kinda sad to tell you the truth
